An independent rock songwriter based in central Florida. Growing up with a hobbyist musician father and having been raised in three different countries, an eclectic musical environment was inevitable in my upbringing.

​I used to listen to different styles of music. My dad had an excellent taste in music. From pop Jazz, Latin (not Caribbean rhythms), rock, local and classical music. He was (still is) a great singer and played an acoustic guitar and so there was always one at home. And that’s where my interest in music started. Whatever sense of melody I have, comes from that.

I started studying music in my early teen years. I continued to study music as I went through college. I realized with time that I enjoyed songwriting and started composing my own music.

As is often the case, life got in the way and took a long break from all musical endeavors; but I am once again focused on my music and releasing it as an independent artist. I enjoy spending hours or rather days in my recording studio and rarely leave, sometimes to my detriment. Recording/mixing is a craft in itself that requires an enormous amount of time to learn. I don’t really have the ears for it and I struggle with it a lot but that’s ok.

The thought behind every song is to write melodies that, born out of experiences, memories, or pulled out of the subconscious ether, when finished, are interesting and enjoyable to me. Hopefully, some will pique your interest and trigger a thought or feeling as well. I usually don’t write based on an idea or thought, or a concept. All melodies and ideas are instinctively written with no prior disposition or intent. The same with my lyrics. It is an extraordinary feeling when you write a song out of instinct and not from a deliberate frame of thought. When done, it will shake you to your core. I do sometimes write lyrics about things or situations that happened in my childhood. But the music is always first and unintentional.

​All material is written and arranged around guitars, mainly. The songs are arranged in the decades-old, tried-and-true formula of verses, choruses, and solos. Bass guitar, guitars, keyboards and anything else that can produce a sound or provide a rhythm are used. Sampled instruments are also used for texture and rhythms.

Influences are all the usual suspects from rock’s extensive catalog with 60’s and 90’s music having a major influence. That was a time in popular music where music was simple yet powerful. It is also a time when music went through fundamental changes that shaped what was to come for many years.

Recorded, produced and mixed in a garage recording studio, acoustically treated with 6” denim custom panels. All instruments and sounds go into a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) with lots of processing power and software where they are processed and mixed.
